Mold Homework

If your child didn't turn in their mold homework, they can still turn it in. They need to design an investigation on mold. Here are some examples of questions they might use:

What is the affect of light or dark on growing mold?
What is the affect of moisture on growing mold?
What is the affect of temperature on growing mold?

After choosing a question they need to write a hypothesis. Then they need to plan their experiment and write down the materials and procedure (directions.) After they've set up their experiment, they need to observe it every two or three days and write down their observations. When they finally see mold, they need to turn their observations into a graph and write a conclusion.

Your student was given a handout explaining the homework. More information on the scientific method is listed in one of my previous blogs. Mrs. Emett
