Hello! Hopefully you've heard that parent/teacher conferences have been moved up to Sept. 30th and Oct. 1st. I will be gone that week and unable to attend. I am going to leave a copy of your student's grades in the office along with a sign up sheet. If you have any questions concerning any of their grades, sign up on the sheet and I will get in touch with you when I get back.
The students have a new homework assignment that went out a week ago. I'm hoping you've seen the letter. The homework is due Oct. 7th. They are being asked to plan and carry out an investigation on microorganisms. This is Standard V: Objective 2 of the sixth grade science core curriculum. A few suggestions are:
What is the affect of light or dark on growing mold?
What is the affect of moisture on growing mold?
What is the affect of temperature on growing mold?
Please check with your student to make sure they are working on the assignment and being safe. Remind them it is due Oct. 7th. Mrs. Emett
